REDUCTION SLEEVES WITH MORSE TAPER

Tempered and hardened steel external taper. Should the need to use the chuck with larger main drill attachments (e.g., No. 3 Morse taper drill attachment and No. 1 Morse chuck taper) arise, one or more reductions will be necessary. As is the case for Morse taper arbors, reduction sleeves T1 denotes external taper for reduction sleeves, and T2 denotes internal taper. Couplings of multiple sleeves must therefore conform to the following principle: morse taper 1 (T1 external) should be coupled with morse taper 1 (T2 internal) in the reduction sleeve. In short, Morse 1 on the outside of the taper arbor follows Morse 1 inside the reduction sleeve. If reduction sleeve's external T1 has a Morse 2, it will couple with the inside of another Morse 2 sleeve.
