D.M. COMPLIANT NEUTRALISER 24.01.11 N°20
Complete kit for the collection of acid The kit consists of: 1 scoop; 1 FFP1 mask; 1 pair of heavy latex gloves; 1 pair of glasses. FUNCTIONING Chemical base allows for rapid neutralisation of sulphuric acid via an effervescent and exothermic reaction. Neutralisation is considered complete when product effervescence (fizzing) subsides; this reaction gives rise to dense, floury and very easy to remove compound. An overdose of PH-RULE is not in any way dangerous and simply compacts the product further. All containers are equipped with explicit safety labelling standards, contents identification and security symbols, in accordance with DL 81 and subsequent amendments . DISPOSAL nThe floury compound resulting from the neutralisation reaction between PH-RULE and spilled electrolyte must be disposed of according to regulations governing non-toxic waste. Updated safety data sheet available (16 points) LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE Ministerial Decree 20 MINISTRY FOR ENVIRONMENT, LAND AND SEA PROTECTION. OFFICIAL JOURNAL N. 60, 14/03/2011; TEXT IN EFFECT FROM 29/03/2011 Implementation of Ministry for Environment Decree number 20, 24 January 2011, "Regulation governing the identification of the extent of absorbent and neutralising substances to be placed in systems intended for the storage, charging, maintenance, deposit and replacement of batteries", requires companies where lead batteries are used, sold, or handled, to ensure availability of suitable quantities of product necessary to neutralise potential acid leaks or spills.
Field of Application:
Suitable for use in the following areas: -Battery charging areas -New battery deposits and shopping centres -Spare parts dealers, car dealerships and electric workshops -Battery maintenance technicians and installers -Motor vehicles for the transport of rechargeable batteries for disposal -Storage areas and empty rechargeable battery disposal -Dismantling areas and battery recovery -Electric vehicles for public transport -Stations and railway workshops -Motor vehicles for the Fire Brigade, Police.
Advantages:
420 g. to neutralise 1 lt battery acid (1.27 g/cm2). Neutralizing power of product 28.5 lt.
Advice:
The resulting product after the absorption is a dense and compact substance that has a pH very close to 7, corresponding to perfect neutrality and which can therefore be easily collected and removed as special non-toxic waste.
