FAP/DPF FILTER TREATMENT SET

Set for regenerating and treating FAP/DPF particulate filters

Advantages:

1. The filter does not need to be dismantled. The filter does not need to be detached for cleaning; simply insert the product, using the special probe, from the pressure sensor tube or from the lambda probe upstream of the filter
2. Cleaning the filter instead of replacing it is much more convenient if you bear in mind that replacing a filter can involve spending between €500 and €2,000 depending on the vehicle model and cost for time/labour/spare parts
3. The liquids used for the treatment do not leave residues and do not damage the valuable parts that comprise the filter's interior (rhodium, palladium and platinum)
4. A functioning FAP improves your car's performance, making it more powerful with lower consumption
5. If the FAP is working, it reduces the emission of particulate pollution and, therefore, improves the quality of the air we breathe.

Instructions:

The treatment is carried out by applying the cleaning product in succession (art. 890500005 Scar FAP/DPF Cleaner) and rinsing the product (art. 890500006 Scar FAP/DPF Rinse) when the engine and exhaust are cold:
Using the appropriate Scar spray gun (art. 890400202), apply the product by spraying it upstream of the particulate filter toward the outlet of the exhaust system, until you see the foam come out. This tells you that cleaning is complete.
Leave to work for 30/40 minutes. Once 30/40 minutes have passed since applying the cleaner, and always using the special gun, dispense the rinsing liquid, again until you see the foam come out. Leave to work for 4/5 minutes.
Then start the engine and let it idle for at least 20 minutes.
Lastly, test a filter regeneration cycle on the road by revving the engine slightly.

Advice:

In a truck, the quantity of product to use (washing and rinsing) varies from one litre to a litre and a half. It depends on the dimensions of the filter and the vehicle model.
In a car, 750 ml or even less will suffice.
