CLEANING FLUID FOR TREATING FAP/DPF PARTICULATE FILTERS

Ensures thorough cleaning of the cells comprising the particulate filters by removing all types of contamination and leaving no residues

Instructions:

The treatment is carried out by applying the cleaning product in succession (art. 890500005 Scar FAP/DPF Cleaner) and rinsing the product (art. 890500006 Scar FAP/DPF Rinse) when the engine and exhaust are cold:
Using the appropriate Scar spray gun (art. 890400202), apply approximately 750 ml of the product by spraying it upstream of the particulate filter toward the outlet of the exhaust system*.
Leave to work for 30/40 minutes. Once 30/40 minutes have elapsed after applying the cleaner, apply approximately 750 ml of the product upstream of the particulate filter, still using the appropriate spray gun. Leave to work for 4/5 minutes.
Then start the engine and let it idle for at least 20 minutes.
Lastly, test a filter regeneration cycle on the road by revving the engine slightly.

* The probe can be introduced into the exhaust system via the pressure sensor before the particulate filter by disconnecting the flow pipe or by loosening the attachment flanges upstream of the particulate filter by a few millimetres.

Treatment should not be carried out if the filter is damaged mechanically
