GASKET REMOVER LIQUID

LOCTITE® SF 7200™ is designed to aid removal of chemical sealants used as flange gaskets, eliminating excessive scraping. Once applied, the product forms a foam-like layer on the gasket. Typical applications include removal of all types of chemical gaskets from metal flanges. It is particularly suitable for removing gaskets from aluminium or other soft metal gaskets where excessive scraping could easily lead to flange surface damage. It can also be used to help remove adhesives, greases or oils, carbon deposits and paints from metal surfaces.

Pack of 12 pcs

Application area:

typically used for removing chemical gasket residues from the surface of metal flanges. It is particularly suitable for aluminium or other soft metal flanges, where scraping could lead to surface damage.

Advantages:

- Easy application from an aerosol can
- Will not run, even on vertical surfaces
- Does not contain CFCs

Instructions:

1. Protect painted surfaces, since LOCTITE® SF 7200™ will damage paint.
2. For best results, hold can upright, 20–30 cm away from gasket area or surface and spray, covering the area well.
3. Allow 10–15 minutes to soften the gasket; for silicone gaskets allow 30 minutes.
4. Remove gasket with soft scraper and wipe flange or surface clean; repeat procedure if necessary.
5. Before application of new gasketing material, it is essential to clean the flange or surface with appropriate solvents such as Loctite® 7063™.

Advice:

LOCTITE® SF 7200™ should be used on metal components. It is not recommended for use on plastic components.
