ACTIVATED CARBON FILTERS

Protect the driver cab from dust and pollen; thanks to the activated carbon within their cloth, these filters retain not only the normal polluting particles mentioned above, but also gaseous pollutants such as hydrocarbons (e.g. petrol), carbon monoxide and ozone, which are highly present in our atmosphere and very harmful for our health. Thanks to its high porosity and natural absorption qualities (it is indeed derived from plants), activated carbon ensures a very high level of retention when it comes to gases and harmful vapours, combined with an 80% reduction of unpleasant smells. Produced by pairing activated vegetable carbon and high-density synthetic cloth (which protects the carbon), some of these models are supported by a galvanized sheet metal frame featuring a rubber seal, which allows for increased adaptability of the filter to its specific lodging, while in other cases they simply come as a fabric layer to be inserted in the lodging of the original system. These filters are usually assembled on the input of the driver cab air suction duct, located at the centre of the engine compartment in most vehicles and coloured in black, and they ensure adequate protection of the air conditioning system by preventing penetration by solid particles that can damage it, in addition to removing unpleasant smells, common in vehicles with an air conditioning unit. These filters should not be considered engine air filters, but a unique and simple tool ensuring a flow of consistently healthy and clean air within the driver cab. E X P I R Y In its original product packaging, the product has a service life of approximately three years. Once removed from the product packaging and installed for use the filter has an average service life of 4 months (service life calculated on the basis of tests on sample vehicles). Many foreign vehicles already feature a driver cab air purification filter in their original setup, but these filters usually consist of normal paper, which certainly cannot retain substances such as smog, friction material (brake and friction dust), tar vapours, lead, cadmium, chromium, etc.
