Salt spray: An accelerated corrosion test.
The product is placed in an enclosed chamber where a solution of water and salt (at 5 %) is sprayed at a constant temperature of 35 °C.
NSS (Neutral Salt Spray): Indicates that the saline solution has a neutral pH.
This is the most widely used standardised method for testing metals and coatings (compliant with ISO 9227 or ASTM B117).
500 hours: The light was kept in this highly corrosive environment for about 20 days (500 continuous hours) without any sign of corrosion.
